The Jabal Thawr Cultural District in Mecca is a significant cultural and tourist project that narrates the story of the Cave of Jabal Thawr, where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companion Abu Bakr sought refuge during the migration to Medina. Located approximately 4 km south of the Grand Mosque, the district spans over 127,000 square meters and includes various cultural and tourist components, such as a visitor reception center and the Hijrah Exhibition, which tells the story of the Prophet's migration using museum displays and modern technology. The project aims to enrich the religious and cultural experience of visitors to historical sites and pilgrims.
